Style guide
What is the difference between smooth style soap and rustic style soap?
Both styles are made using the same ingredients for any particular soap bar scent, and they are the same size. The difference is in the method used to make it and how much cure time each soap gets.
The soap that we refer to as smooth style soap is our cold process soap. It is cured for four weeks. The other style is the rustic style soap. It is our hot process soap that is cooked and then once the loaf of soap is cut into bars it is ready to be used. Even though you could use it right then, we typically allow our hot process soap an additional one to two weeks or longer before we make it available for you to purchase.
Smooth style tends to allow for a more distinct swirl pattern or design than the same soap made in the rustic style.
