Bay Rum Soap is a great smelling luxury bay rum soap that is made with a bay rum fragrance that smells like one of the many classic West Indian bay rum fragrances popular throughout the West Indies.  We make the bayrum soap in small batches on St. Thomas, USVI and pay homage to those early pioneers on St. Thomas and St. John who recognized that bay rum was destined to become a classic scent.

This handmade bay rum bar soap is highly sought after by both men and women and is one of our most popular soaps.  Bay Rum Soap is also one of our most popular soaps that we provide as the guest soaps at Point Pleasant Resort on St. Thomas, U.S. Virgin Islands.

The scent is reminiscent of fragrance made using the leaves of the Bay Rum trees (Pimenta racemosa) that were prevalent on St. John and that were used to make the original bay rum scents that originated on St. Thomas when it was still part of the former Danish West Indies.

The same scented soap but with added blue and white coloring is available as Seaside Bay Rum Soap that may be found here as Bay Rum Bar Soap

Style Guide

What is the difference between smooth style soap and rustic style soap?
Both styles are made using the same ingredients for any particular soap bar scent, and they are the same size. The difference is in the method used to make it and how much cure time each soap gets.
The soap that we refer to as smooth style soap is our cold process soap. It is cured for four weeks.
The other style is the rustic style soap. It is our hot process soap that is cooked and then once the loaf of soap is cut into bars it is ready to be used. Even though you could use it right then, we typically allow our hot process soap an additional one to two weeks or longer before we make it available for you to purchase.
Smooth style tends to allow for a more distinct swirl pattern or design than the same soap made in the rustic style.
